I have two site projects in the works; both are due for completion this summer.
A site for word nerds and grammar geeks, expressionado is a guide to English language cliches and features a forum for related gabbery. The idea was born when yours truly was called to task for improperly using a common idiom. A squabble ensued my colleagues, each citing this or that web source, and I saw the potential for interest in a forum that allows language officianados to duke it out online.

I recently spent a few hours going through photos left to me by my paternal grandmother who passed away in 2006. Yia Yia (that's Greek for grandma) had nearly a thousand pictures filled with smiling faces of relatives and friends that I never met. Taken between 1910-60, the pictures document the people my grandmother knew in her native Karpathos, during the time she lived in Paris, and after her arrival in the United States. I decided to post the photos in an online album and invite the Greek community here in Baltimore, where Yia Yia spent most of her life, to visit the site and find undiscovered photos of parents and grandparents.
